Your details

Type these once and every script below fills itself in.

Step 2

Run the seven days

Ten to fifteen minutes a day. Tick each day off as you go. Your ticks are saved in this browser.

  1. Day 1

    Build your list

Export your unwon quotes and your quiet customers from your quoting or accounting software. Sort each list by value, biggest first. Start with the top 20% of each.

  2. Day 2

    Email your unwon quotes

Send to the top-value quotes first. One short email, one question, one easy reply.

    Show the script

Subject: Still keen on [their project]?

Hi [First name], I was going through quotes from earlier this year and noticed we never locked in [their project]. If timing or budget was the sticking point, I would rather know than guess. I can adjust the scope, split the work into stages, or hold the price until [deadline]. Reply with the word yes and I will send an updated quote today. If it is off the table, tell me and I will close it off. [Your name] [Your business]
  3. Day 3

    Text the same people

Text anyone who has not replied to the email, starting with the highest quote values.

    Show the script

Hi [First name], [Your name] from [Your business]. Is [their project] still on the cards? I can hold your quote until [deadline]. Reply YES and I will update it today. Reply STOP to opt out.
  4. Day 4

    Email your quiet customers

Past customers already trust you. Lead with the relationship, then the reason to act.

    Show the script

Subject: It has been a while, [First name]

Hi [First name], It is [Your name] at [Your business]. We last worked together in [month and year] and I wanted to check in. Until [deadline] we are offering [your reason to act now]. If there is anything on your list, reply with one line and I will book it in. If you would rather not hear from us, use the unsubscribe link below. Thanks, [Your name] [Your business]
  5. Day 5

    Phone your top ten

Call the ten highest-value people across both lists. Calls convert better than any message. Leave the voicemail if they do not pick up.

    Show the script

CALL "Hi [First name], it is [Your name] from [Your business]. I am not selling anything today. I was reviewing our past jobs and wanted to check how [last job or quote] is going. Is there anything coming up we could help with?" If yes: "Great, let me get that booked in. Does [day] suit?" If no: "No worries. Would it be okay if I check in again in a few months?" VOICEMAIL "Hi [First name], [Your name] from [Your business]. Just checking in on [last job or quote]. I have sent you a short email as well. No need to call back unless it is useful."
  6. Day 6

    Follow up the silent ones

Everyone who has not replied gets one more email, with the deadline front and centre.

    Show the script

    Subject: Closing off on [deadline]

Hi [First name], Quick follow-up to my note earlier this week. [your reason to act now] finishes on [deadline]. After that, [what changes: prices go back, the diary fills, the quote lapses]. Reply with the word in and I will lock in a time. [Your name] [Your business]
  7. Day 7

    Close the loop and count

Send a last short note, then fill in the tally below so you know what this week was worth.

    Show the script

Subject: Should I close your file?

Hi [First name], I have not heard back, so I will assume the timing is not right and close your file. If that is wrong, reply with one word and I will pick it straight back up. Either way, thank you for considering [Your business]. [Your name]

Before you send: in Australia, commercial emails and texts need a clear sender, a working unsubscribe or opt-out, and a relationship or consent. Past customers and people you have quoted usually qualify. This is general information, not legal advice.

Step 3

Count what came back

Fill this in on day 7.

Your results appear here.

Win-back estimates use the cautious rates you set. They are not a forecast or a promise.

Get the extras pack
